2026 Dino Cup - Expression of Interest

AAWA is now accepting Expressions of Interest from athletes and coaches interested in representing Alberta at the 2026 Dino Cup!

Dino Cup is an opportunity for Alberta’s high school wrestlers to compete as part of a provincial team against athletes from across Canada. AAWA is inviting eligible athletes to express their interest in being considered for Team Alberta, as well as qualified coaches interested in joining the coaching staff.

Athlete Expression of Interest

Athletes interested in representing Team Alberta at the 2026 Dino Cup are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest.

Eligibility requirements:

• Born between 2009 and 2012.

• Currently in Grades 9–12.

• Available to participate in the Dino Cup

Athlete selection will be based on a ranking system using results from designated competitions during the 2025–2026 season. Athletes should complete the form with accurate information about their competition results, experience, and intended weight class.

Submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee selection to Team Alberta.

Coach Expression of Interest

AAWA is also seeking qualified coaches interested in supporting Team Alberta at the 2026 Dino Cup.

Priority will be given to coaches who meet either of the following qualifications:

• Competition Introduction Certified and actively progressing toward Competition Development Trained/Certified, with the intention of becoming Competition Development Certified.

• Competition Development Certified.

Coaches must be in good standing with AAWA and meet all applicable NCCP and Wrestling Canada requirements.
