Owen Dawkins Wins Alberta Coach Recognition Award!

The AAWA is proud to congratulate Owen Dawkins, winner of the 2025 Alberta Sport Coaching Recognition Award. This award honours coaches who have made outstanding contributions to the development of athletes across Alberta.

Owen is the Head Coach at the University of Alberta, where he earned the U Sports Women's Wrestling Coach of the Year award, and also coaches at the Edmonton Wrestling Club, where he also serves as Head Coach. He additionally works with the National Team through WCL, where he has been named lead coach at international competitions.

Beyond his coaching duties, Owen is a passionate coaching facilitator, committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of coaches in the province.
